Policy

When a person’s life has been disrupted by aging, illness, injury, or a disability our qualified therapists will develop a therapeutic intervention to maximize his/her level of independence. We believe that an interdisciplinary approach is necessary to reach the goals of each of our patients. Our goal is to serve the patient by focusing on his/her physical, communicative, emotional and overall functional abilities and improve their quality of life.

Physical Therapy

Purpose

To assist patients in the restoration of function through the use of therapeutic exercise and pain management.

Who needs physical therapy

If you have:
  • Back or neck pain
  • Sports injuries
  • Work related injuries
  • A weekend sprain
  • Arthritis or joint pain
  • Muscle Weakness
  • Stroke
  • Surgery for total joint replacement
  • Rotator cuff repair, spinal surgeries.

  • Pain management
  • Spinal decompression
  • Walking and prosthetic training
  • Wound or burn care
  • Comprehensive exercise programs
  • Recovery from total joint replacement
    • Aquatic therapy
    • Vestibular training
    • Sports Rehab
    • Electrical Stimulation/ Ultrasound
  • Describe programs given to patients to further progress while at home
Our qualified therapists develop individualized therapeutic exercise programs for each patient to perform at home as well as provide instruction and progression of those programs during his/her therapy session.

Occupational Therapy

Purpose

To work with those individuals whose lives have been disrupted by aging, illness, injury, and developmental disability. Our programs are designed to increase independence in work, leisure, and self care activities to enhance quality of life.

Procedures:

  • Activities of Daily Living training
  • Cognition training
  • Work hardening and conditioning
  • Hand Therapy
  • Fine Motor coordination
  • Muscle re-education
  • Wheelchair positioning

Lymphedema Clinic:

Lymphedema is caused when the lymph vessels are unable to transport lymph fluid back into circulation resulting in buildup of protein rich fluid, swelling and thickening of the skin.
 
Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT) consists of:
  • Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD)
  • Graduated Compression Garments
  • Therapeutic Exercises
  • Meticulous Skin Care

Speech Therapy

Purpose

To enhance the patient’s quality of life through the development or improvement of effective and functional communication skills.

Procedures

  • Swallowing study
  • Memory/ Recall training
  • Speech and vocalization training

Located just inside the front door of the hospital, off the lobby.

Hours Open

Monday-Friday 8-5

Parking

There is parking to the west of the main hospital entrance.  Parking is also available across the street from the hospital.  The guest parking lot is south of the hospital entrance.
